First Of Many: Travis Scott Settles First Astroworld Concert Lawsuit With Victim’s Family
Travis Scott has begun putting the Astroworld tragedy behind him settling the first of several hundred lawsuits with a 21-year-old victim’s family.
Travis Scotts 2021 Astroworld festival ended in tragedy with 10 concertgoers losing their lives. Most of the victims were trampled to death in the enormous crowd. In the aftermath, Travis spoke candidly about the event with Charlamagne The God then went on a hiatus. Even with him on hiatus, the lawsuits following the concert paved a long road to putting this behind him.
Travis Scott Settles First Astroworld Concert Lawsuit With Victim’s Family
According to TMZ, Travis Scott is signaling he is ready to put the Astroworld tragedy behind him settling his first lawsuit, one brought forth by a victim’s family. This is the first publicly known settlement out of the four hundred Travis is facing. Axel Acosta a 21-year-old fan who traveled from Washington all the way to Houston to enjoy the festival died from his injuries the night of the show. The settlement details are confidential, but the family lawyer Tony Buzbee revealed the family reached an agreement after suing Travis, Live Nation, and others. Travis is slowly returning to live shows after several sold-out shows overseas at the O2 Arena and a new residency in Las Vegas.
