NANINIWALA ang Kapuso actress na si Yasmien Kurdi na kapag hindi naaaksyunan ang bullying, hindi matatapos ang “cycle.”
Maghahanap lang daw kasi ulit ng bagong target ang mga bully dahil hindi nga ito nahahanapan ng tama at epektibong solusyon.
Sa kanyang Facebook page, naikuwento ng aktres na pinanood niya ang South Korean series na “Teach You A Lesson” na tumatalakay sa isyu ng bullying.
“Have you watched Netflix’s latest Korean drama, Teach You a Lesson? Ang tagal na niyang #1 sa Netflix. I first heard about it from my daughter, Ayesha Zara.
“At first, ayoko talaga siyang panoorin dahil triggering at nakaka-palpitate siya for me. Pero sabi niya, ‘Hintayin mo lang, Mama. May sasagip din sa mga nabubully.’
“For once, the victims were protected and someone finally stood up for them. Kahit sa palabas lang, may hustisya,” simulang pagbabahagi ni Yasmien.
Patuloy niya, “The first episode tells the story of a student who took his own life after relentless bullying while the school failed to act.
“Kapag hindi naaaksyunan ang bullying, hindi natatapos ang cycle dahil maghahanap lang ulit ng bagong target ang mga bully.
“May episode din showing how toxic parenting becomes when adults refuse to discipline children at eto, may personal experience kami sa ganitong scenario.
“One line from Episode 1 really stayed with me: ‘Doctors should not be afraid of their patients. Lawyers should not be afraid of their clients. Teachers should not be afraid of their students. — Na Hwa-jin.’
“Though fictional, the series raises real questions: Sino ang nagpo-protect sa victims? What responsibility do schools have when problems escalate? How do we protect teachers while still guiding students properly? Should there be stronger online protections and filters for children?” lahad pa ng Kapuso star at celebrity mom.
Payo pa ni Yasmien sa mga kapwa niya parents, “Kapag may ‘sungay,’ disiplinahin habang bata pa. Schools should be safe places for learning, not environments where abuse is tolerated.
“After Teach You a Lesson, I watched Juvenile Justice, and one line also stayed with me: ‘It takes a village to raise a child.’
“At totoo naman. Parents, schools, communities, and government all share responsibility in guiding children,” aniya pa.
Para naman daw sa mga kabataan ngayon, “FYI, kids: kahit minors kayo at excempted from criminal liability for 15 years old and below, may civil liability pa rin kayo, at mga magulang ninyo ang magdadala ng burden. At higit sa lahat, mananagot kayo sa Diyos.”
Matatandaang naging biktima rin ng bullying ang anak ni Yasmien na siyang dahilan kung bakit niya ito inilipat ng school.
