BINIGYAN ng pitong araw ng Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) ang mga producer ng “It’s Showtime” para mag-submit ng Joint Position Paper.
Ito’y kaugnay pa rin ng mga reklamong natanggap ng ahensiya sa “Memerimar” segment ng programa noong July 24, 2026 kung saan sangkot na naman ang mag-asawang Vice Ganda at Ion Perez.
Pending pa ang reklamo sa Kapamilya at Kapuso noontime show matapos ang naganap na dialogue-hearing sa pagitan ng MTRCB, ABS-CBN at GMA 7.
Narito ang official statement ng ahensiya matapos ang nangyaring hearing kahapon, July 29.

“The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) convened a hearing today with the representatives and legal counsels from the television noontime program It’s Showtime, ABS-CBN Corporation, GMA Network Inc., Zoe Broadcasting Network, Inc., and ALLTV, following a Notice to Appear before the MTRCB’s Hearing and Adjudication Committee.
“All parties were given the opportunity to be heard regarding issues stemming from the TV show’s episode aired on 24 July 2026 during its ‘Memerimar’ segment.
“As part of due process, the Board listened to the explanations presented and reiterated its mandate under Presidential Decree No. 1986 and its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) to ensure that TV programming remains fully compliant with broadcast standards.
“As partners in promoting responsible viewership, the Board remains fully committed and values the public’s feedback.
“Grounded in the principle of parens patriae, the MTRCB shares with its stakeholders the responsibility of protecting and guiding young Filipino viewers.
“Following the hearing, the Agency’s Hearing and Adjudication Committee — composed of Committee Chair Board Member (BM) Atty. Ricardo ‘Jojo’ M. Salomon Jr., and Committee Members BM Atty. Pedro Cesar Gabriel ‘Chet’ A. Solidum and BM Wilma V. Galvante — issued an Order directing the respondents to file a verified Joint Position Paper within seven (7) calendar days from receipt of the Order, in accordance with the Board’s rules and procedures.
“The Committee likewise directed the respondents to submit a Joint Undertaking outlining concrete measures to strengthen compliance with MTRCB standards, particularly in relation to live, improvised, and comedy segments.
“In addition, the respondents were instructed to designate an On-Air Compliance Officer who shall be authorized to monitor live broadcasts and immediately intervene, when necessary, to prevent potential violations of MTRCB rules and regulations.
“The case remains pending and shall be resolved after the Committee’s evaluation of the parties’ submissions and the evidence on record, in accordance with applicable laws, rules, and due process.
“As the matter remains under consideration, the Board shall refrain from making any further statement that may prejudge its final disposition.”
Nag-ugat ang mga reklamo sa isang “Memerimar” skit tampok ang miyembro ng Baby Dolls na si Johaira, kung saan dinuraan ni Vice Ganda ng tubig ang mukha nito bago nagsabing, “Anong nangyari sa ’yo? Bakit nagputik ka?”
Binatikos ng ilang social media users ang naturang pahayag dahil umano’y inihalintulad nito ang mas maitim na kutis ni Johaira sa putik, at inilarawan ito bilang racist at colorist.
Bukod dito, inireklamo rin ang pagpapakain ni Ion Perez kay Vice ng lugaw na tumalsik sa kanyang mukha. May ibang konotasyon daw kasi ang naturang eksena.
Nauna nang naglabas ng pahayag si Vice tungkol sa isyu sa kanilang July 25 episode kung saan humingi aira ng paumanhin at pag-amin na may ilang manonood na nakasakitang pakinggan ang mga biro noong nakaraang araw.
Binigyang-diin ng komedyante na wala silang intensiyong makasakit ng damdamin ng mga manonood at tiniyak niyang magiging mas maingat sila sa kanilang mga biro sa mga susunod na pagkakataon.
