MANCHESTER, Jamaica — A man was fatally shot in an alleged confrontation during a targeted operation by the police in Bent Town near New Forest in south Manchester on Thursday.
He has so far only been identified by his alias “Lobster”.
Preliminary reports from the police are that during the early morning operation cops swooped down on a premises in Bent Town.
A police source said a 9mm pistol was seized following the alleged confrontation.
This latest operation follows Monday’s launch of Operation Reset by the Area Three police targeting criminals, particularly lottery scammers linked to violence.
