PINALAGAN ng “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition” Big Winner na si Brent Manalo ang pambebengga sa kanya ng mga bashers.
Ito’y matapos mag-viral sa social media ang “bardagulan” nila ni Darren Espanto sa “It’s Showtime” last September 4.
Nangyari ito sa segment na “Miss Q and A” nang magkabiruan ang dalawang host matapos magpagalingan sa pagsayaw ng “Twerk It Like Miley” ni Brandon Beal.
Hirit ni Brent kay Darren, “Ang galing niyang sumayaw. Halatang galing siyang The Voice (Kids).”
Pang-uurot sa kanila ni Vice Ganda, “Ay, parang ang sarcastic nu’n… grabe!” Na sinagot naman ni Darren ng, “Okay lang naman.”
Sey uli ni Vice kay Darren, “Hindi okay yon, lalaban tayo lagi.”
Kaya naman punchline ni Darren, “Ah, sige. Galing ako sa The Voice, kaya nga multi-talented, di ba?”
Si Darren ang itinanghal na first runner-up sa “The Voice Kids Philippines” noong 2014 kung saan si Lyca Gairanod ang nanalong grand champion.
Sagot naman ni Brent kay Darren, “Ako, subok sa hamon ng buhay dahil galing ako sa PBB.”
At banat ni Darren sa kanya, “Parang wala ka naman masyadong ganap doon sa loob ng bahay.”
Shookt sina Vice at Anne Curtis sa bardagulan ng dalawa nilang co-hosts habang nagtitilian ang mga nasa studio audience.
Pero agad nilinaw ni Darren na nagdyo-joke lang siya at friends naman sila ni Brent. “Nagbibiruan lang naman kami. Big Winner natin to, no? Kaya proud kami sa yo, bro,” sabay akbay ni Darren kay Brent.

“Guys, magkakaibigan po kami, kaya huwag niyo po akong i-bash,” pakiusap pa ng singer-actor at host.
Kasunod nga nito ang pag-viral ng video clip ng biruan ng dalawang aktor kung saan marami ang nambarag kay Brent at binalikan pa ang mga naging eksena niya noon sa PBB house.
Kabilang na riyan ang naging isyu sa kanila noon ng former housemate na si Kira Balinger na nagtanong kay Brent ng, “Sa tagal-tagal niyo rito sa Bahay Ni Kuya, I still don’t know you. Who are you?”
Bwelta ni Brent kay Kira, “Who are you to say that? No one cares about Kira Balinger. That’s why you’re evicted.”
Marami rin ang kumuwestiyon sa pagkapanalo ni Brent bilang Big Winner.
Sa kanyang X account, hindi na napigilan ni Brent ang sarili ang ihayag ang kanyang saloobin sa pambabatikos at pangnenega sa kanya.
Tweet ni Brent, “Hi guys! Dropping by to share what’s on my mind.
“I’m not here to change nor dispel your perception of me, but I am asking for a little bit of grace.
“For months, I took all the lashings and never said a word cos I’m a firm believer that you should always let your work speak for you.
“With all the opportunities being given to me right now, I am truly grateful to the management and everyone who believes in me and my capabilities.
“But these things were never handed to me, it was years of waiting and hard work.
“I’ll never waste an ounce of opportunity given to me.
“Huwag niyo po sanang ipagkait sa akin na gawin yung trabahong binibigay sa akin.
“I am simply doing my job. I hope to one day be able to show up to work and not walk on eggshells cause everything I say or do is being watched closely, just to fault me for something so minuscule,” simulang post ni Brent.
Patuloy niya, “Regarding my PBB stint—Admittedly, my win was polarizing, but it is my journey, and I hope to be able to look back at it with pride.
“I never once took that win for granted. I owe it to all those who fought for me,” ang sentimyento ni Brent.
Sey pa ni Brent, “I have made mistakes and learned from it.
“I have apologized time and time again to those whom I’ve offended.
“This chapter has been closed so I hope we can all move forward.
“I will ALWAYS listen to constructive criticism. And I’ll always try to continuously improve because it is our responsibility to provide quality TV to our audience.
“I know that it is my job, and I have to do it well. I’m still a work in progress, and I promise to stay committed.
“But if your sole purpose in life is to throw unwarranted hate at me, pls keep your opinions to yourselves cos it will never be acknowledged by me.
“Hindi po ako punching bag,” aniya pa.
